Jersey Bulls are pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Seviour as the new first team coach to work alongside Gary Freeman’s management team for the upcoming season.
Seviour, an experienced coach, has been involved with football in Jersey for the past 12 years, covering a range of different roles spanning all age levels of the game. He has spent his last two seasons as first team coach at St Ouens FC, his current role is at Jersey FA Link Asset Services Centre of Excellence and Player Development Centre as U16 and U11 Lead Coach and Girls Manager (12-16s) respectively. In 2017 Seviour, as Head Coach, led the Jersey FA Senior Women’s team to Bronze in Gotland.
“We are delighted that Dan has accepted the offer to join the coaching team as he is a quality young coach. We’ve had many conversations over the years and with the way he thinks about the game and the thought that he puts in along with the delivery of his sessions, we felt that he would be a great addition to the team. I’m sure the players will enjoy working with him.” states Gary Freeman – Jersey Bulls first team manager.
Seviour holds an FA Youth Award and has spent the past several years actively seeking CPD opportunities and assisting on the delivery of FA Level 1 and 2 courses. He is currently undertaking a UEFA B licence which will help prepare him for his new role as first team coach for Jersey Bulls.
“I am extremely grateful for the experiences that I have been lucky enough to have in football already through my full-time role at the Jersey FA and St Ouens FC.
Coaching the Islands better players within the Centre of Excellence, being involved in the first team set up at St Ouens and regularly attending and assisting on the FA courses I feel this has enhanced my knowledge and understanding of the game. I believe I can be a positive addition to the management team and offer another opin-ion along with adding to the planning and delivery of the sessions to support how Gary wants the team to play.”
Seviour is looking forward to working with the Jersey Bulls management team and getting to know the players more. He is keen to get started and develop on the great work that the team have built in their first two seasons.
