Bulls to host the Warriors!

Jersey Bulls FC are delighted to announce that they will be hosting SPFL side Stenhousemuir FC in a pre-season friendly at Springfield Stadium.

The Bulls have a light pre-season schedule this year due to the majority of their squad being selected for the Jersey representative side who are competing in the Island Games in Guernsey.

Bulls CEO, Ian Horswell said, “Jersey has always enjoyed a good relationship with Scotland. We have had Celtic, Hibernian, Alloa and Clyde over that I can remember but Rangers and Celtic youth sides played in the Under 21 tournaments that Jersey used to host. Apparently Queens Park came in the 50s too. It’s great to reignite football relationships north of the border and we hope this could be the first of many clubs coming down in the future”.

It is the first time since June 2016 that a Scottish side has come down to play against Jersey opposition, when Clyde, managed by former Scotland captain, Barry Ferguson, drew with a Jersey rep side 1-1.

Horswell added, “This is an exciting opportunity to test ourselves against top opposition and it’s a unique opportunity for Gary and the players to compete against different opponents ahead of our new campaign”.

Jersey Bulls are expecting their domestic season to start on Saturday 5th August but are awaiting notification of when the league season starts.

Any fans unable to make the trip to Jersey, the Bulls will have a live stream available on the PPV channel.
